Steve Wagner, 181 Tumblebrook Drive - on tonights agenda - revaluation - can only assume the tax increases because of the revaluation. The real estate portion of the grand list decreased. despite teh decrease the assessment went up on over 900 homes. Nothing is being done to address sewer fees.
Richard Gregorian, 369 Main Street - after our last meeting - have not received information from Ray Favreau yet. Did get answer regarding high school being an inappropriate use. I spoke to Dan Sullivan and Christine Wanner - snythetic field would fit there perfectly. First priority would be to have it at the high school. as a second item would be acceptable whee it is being proposed. Stadium Field is being under utilized. There are two additional fields coming on line by the CREC Magnet school. Waiting for Ray on the 44 fields.
Matt Riley, 12 Heatherwood Drive - Councillor Yagaloff and Deputy Mayor Bazzano worked together to come up with a proposed plan for the athletic field. Many of the sports play games not on the schoo property but on fields that are across the street for different sports. Athletic Fields Subcommittee has come up with a proposal that take the entire communities needs in account. Hoping the the Council supports the new plan. This is an improvement to South Windsor.
Joe C 58 Nevers Road - Athletic Field proposal. that area is open space. Is not the right area for fields. there will be a lot of noise pollution in that area - there already is. pollution, congestion - 10 hours a day these fields will be used. The drainage is also an issue - right now there isa flooding condition or in spring time when snow melts - the whole culvert at Ayers Road intersection has already collapsed. The area floods. Take care of features that everyone uses versus a small portion. Open space is for the enjoyment of everyone and for the future.
