Resolution Adopting the Board of Education Budget for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 (Councilor Hockenberry) BE IT RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby adopts a Board of Education Budget with expenditures totaling $75,399,351; for the Fiscal Year commencing on July 1, 2019 and terminating on June 30, 2020, a copy of which Budget is on file in the Office of the Town Clerk.
Resolution Adopting the Budget for the Special Revenue Recreation Fund for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 (Councilor Riley) BE IT RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby adopts a Special Revenue Recreation Fund Budget with expenditures totaling $3,221,416; for Fiscal Year commencing on July 1, 2019, and terminating on June 30, 2020.
Resolution Adopting the General Government Budget for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 (Councilor Maneeley) BE IT RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby adopts a General Government Budget with expenditures totaling $47,227,007; for the Fiscal Year commencing on July 1, 2019, and terminating on June 30, 2020, a copy of which Budget is on file in the Office of the Town Clerk.
Resolution Setting the Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 (Deputy Mayor Pendleton) BE IT RESOLVED that the tax rate of 38.50 mills be levied on the Grand List of October 1, 2018 based upon Total Revenues excluding current taxes of $17.669.901. which includes an appropriation from Fund Balance in the amount of $200,000 and an appropriation from the Tax Stabilization Fund in the amount of $500,000 to finance total expenditures of $122,626,358 made up of a Board of Education Budget of $75,399,351 and a General Government Budget of $47,227,007, both of which have been adopted by the South Windsor Town Council, and exhibits of which are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk for the Fiscal Year commencing on July 1, 2019, and terminating on June 30, 2020.
Resolution Appointing a Rate Maker for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 and the Tabling of Same (Councilor Lopez) BE IT RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby appoints Matthew B. Galligan, Town Manager, as Rate Maker for Fiscal Year 2019/2020, and hereby tables the same.
Resolution Approving a Transfer of $11,700 from the Contingency Account to the Registrar Account (Councilor Lydecker) BE IT RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby approves a transfer of $11,700 from the Contingency Account to the Registrar Account to cover costs of a Special Election held on February 26, 2019.
Resolution Setting a Time and Place for a Public Hearing to Receive Citizen Input on the Proposed Amendment to Section 78-33 of Article II. Subdivision Open Space Use and Maintenance (Councilor Snyder) BE IT RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby sets Monday, May 20, 2019, at 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the South Windsor Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor, Connecticut as the time and place for a Public Hearing to receive citizen input on the proposed Amendment to Section 78-33 of Article II. Subdivision Open Space Use and Maintenance.
Resolution Approving the Transfer of $4,000 from the Contingency Account to the Town Council's Professional Account (Councilor Lopez) WHEREAS, the Board and Commission Recognition Event began in 1998 and the Town Council wishes to again recognize the volunteers who serve on Boards and Commissions NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby approves a transfer of $4,000 from the Contingency Account to the Town Council's Professional Account to cover expenses associated with a "Recognition Event" honoring Members of Boards and Commissions who have generously volunteered their time and served the Town of South Windsor.
Resolution Approving a Refund of Taxes to Twenty-Eight (28) South Windsor Taxpayers (Councilor Hockenberry) BE IT RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby approves a refund of property taxes to twenty-eight (28) South Windsor Taxpayers, the total of said refund being $49,596.64, and as more fully described on attached Exhibit A.
